How Growing Up Daily works

One minute. One conversation. The most important investment you can make as a parent.

The simple version

Every day, you open the app and see one short lesson matched to your child's age. You read it. Then you start a conversation โ€” using the ready-made questions, or in your own words. That's it. No prep. No curriculum. No homework.

Step by step

1
Set up your children
Enter each child's name, birth month and year, and gender. That's all we need โ€” no exact birthdate, no account, no email required. Everything stays on your device.
2
Get today's lesson
Each day you'll see one lesson calibrated to exactly where your child is developmentally right now. The topic rotates through 12 areas of life โ€” health, resilience, money, relationships, puberty, creativity, and more.
3
Read it โ€” takes 60 seconds
Every lesson includes the core concept, how to approach it with your child, 3 ready-made conversation questions, a research fact, and links to reputable sources if you want to go deeper.
4
Start the conversation
Breakfast, car journey, bedtime โ€” anywhere. Use one of the questions, or just bring up the topic naturally. There's no wrong way to do it. The conversation matters more than the method.
5
Mark it done and leave a note
Tap "Mark as discussed" when you've had the conversation. Optionally leave a private note โ€” what your child said, how it went, a moment to remember. Stored only on your device, never sent anywhere.

The 12 topics

Content rotates through all 12 topics automatically. Each is age-calibrated โ€” a lesson about money looks very different at age 6 vs age 16.

Privacy โ€” how it actually works

We store only your child's first name and birth month/year. This data never leaves your browser. There is no server. There is no account. There is no cloud sync. If you clear your browser's local storage, it's gone.

We collect nothing about you. We have nothing to sell, share, or lose. That is a deliberate design choice, not a promise we might break later.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?
No. Growing Up Daily requires no account, no email, no password. Bookmark the page and return daily โ€” your children and progress are remembered automatically in your browser.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing bad happens. The app shows you the lesson for today whenever you open it. You can also browse all lessons by age and topic, and mark any as discussed whenever you get to them.
Can I use it with multiple children?
Yes โ€” add as many children as you have. Each gets their own tab, their own age-calibrated daily lesson, and their own progress record. Switch between children with one tap.
How do I get a daily reminder?
Add the site to your phone's home screen (tap Share โ†’ Add to Home Screen in Safari/Chrome). You can also sign up for a daily email reminder in Settings โ€” powered by Buttondown, free, unsubscribe any time.
Are the lessons actually based on research?
Yes. Every lesson includes a research fact and links to reputable external sources โ€” NHS, Harvard, NSPCC, Young Minds, AAP, Greater Good Science Center (UC Berkeley), and more. Links open in a new tab so you can read further whenever you want.
What if my child sees the app?
There's a "child mode" on the welcome screen โ€” a child who stumbles on the site sees a friendly page with conversation starters they can bring to you. They can pick a topic they'd like to talk about and show it to their parent.
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no premium version, no subscriptions. Growing Up Daily LLC built this because we believe every family deserves access to it, regardless of income.
